How often does Trail put on Alumni Reunions?
We host a reunion annually, with larger events happening in anniversary years.
Can I nominate a Trails alumni for the Hurst Legacy Award?
Yes! Please complete our Hurst Legacy Award – Nomination Form.

Am I eligible to participate in AIM?
If you were a Trails participant and now you are in Grade 11 or Grade 12, AIM is for you!
Which months can I expect events to be scheduled?
Our aim events are typically in August, October, January, March, and May

Am I eligible to participate in the Trails Scholarship Program?
The scholarship is available to Trails alumni pursuing post-secondary education, including college, university, graduate studies, trades programs, certificates, and micro-credentials that support career and life goals.
When can I apply?
Alumni attending college or university can apply to the program in July and November, while alumni looking at specialized courses or credentials can reach out to apply at any time.
What does the Scholarship Program provide?
The Trails Scholarship is about more than helping cover costs. Scholarship recipients also receive ongoing mentorship throughout the school year, designed to support the transition into post-secondary life through to graduation and beyond.
What can I expect if I’m a part of the program?
Mentorship check-ins throughout the year, offering you space to:
- Review transcripts and academic progress
- Talk through course selection and budgeting decisions
- Reflect on goals, successes, and challenges
- Receive guidance during key transition moments
Who makes up the Scholarship Committee?
We’ve got an incredible team of volunteers that make up the Scholarship Committee. You can learn more about them on the Scholarship Page.

Am I eligible for Career Connection support?
If you are a Trails alumni, then the answer is YES! You can reach out for Career Connections support if you are thinking ahead to a sector of interest, starting your career after graduation, or making a pivot to a new career path.
How do I make my request?
Complete our Career Connections Request Form, and be thorough in your responses. The more details, the better. From there, Erin will follow up for a chat!

Can I participate in CARe?
- Mentee – If you are a Trails participant or alumni and you think you can benefit from a CARe mentor (to help with a challenging period, upcoming transition, or targeted goal), you can reach out to Erin or any member of the Trails team to express an interest, and Erin will follow up with you.
- Mentor – if you are an alumni or community member and want to express your interest in being involved as a mentor, please visit our volunteer page, and complete the appropriate form.
What type of Mentorship is offered?
- Supportive – a longer term relationships to help support you through a challenging period
- Targeted – you will be connected with a mentor to act as a support and resources as you work towards a specific goal (Examples could include: business-related goals or financial literacy)
- Transitional – a mentorship relationship to support you as you navigate through a period of transition.
Who are the Mentors?
CARe Mentors can be fellow alumni, or a trusted member of the Trails community! We will work to find you the best possible mentor for your specific scenario.
What is expected of me?
We ask that you opt-in fully, communicate your needs, and participate in the relationship as a ready and active partner.

Am I eligible for the Assistance Fund?
As a Trails participant or alumni the answer is, YES! The Assistance Fund provides financial support in times of crisis or when help is needed to access essential resources. Funding is intended to reduce financial stress and support mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Requests will be reviewed on a case by case basis, in accordance with the funds guidelines and available resources.
