Corporate Impact Days

More and more corporations have been investing in the future of youth with social responsibility in the form of service. Corporate Impact Days at Trails Lakeside on our 143 acres property include a set of projects that help us ensure the safe running of our program. Annually, we host corporate volunteer teams who help build docks, clean cabins, cut and stack wood, rake leaves and make beds. We ask for a minimum 3-hour time commitment, our greatest time of need is spring and fall.

For information about how to engage your team at Trails, please contact Trish Fonberg, Impact Day Coordinator at trish@trails.ca

Thanks to our Corporate Impact partners since 2017: Desjardins, JLT, RBC, TELUS, Mackenzie Investments, Scotiabank, LoyaltyOne, Turner Construction, Avison Young, Aviva Insurance, Docusign, Scotiabank, ACE, KJ Harrison, SunLife/CWP Financial, TEKsystems, Bakerhill Renovations

Volunteer on Fundraising or Office Projects

The Trails office and fundraising staff are always looking for energetic and creative individuals to assist with or direct fundraising projects and program development projects. Examples of past projects include clothing drives, silent auction item collection, supporting fundraising events and pursuing corporate sponsorships.

Volunteer with the Trails Program

Volunteers who work directly with participants go through a similar “hiring” process as employees. Our number one priority is the kids, so all individuals must be carefully screened, certified and experienced. Therefore, we seek volunteers who are interested in extended commitments. Volunteer as an AIM Mentor

The AIM (Alumni in Mentorship) Program supports Trails alumni currently in grades 11 and 12 with connection to an AIM Mentor, an alumni who graduated from Trails a least 5 years ago. With the purpose to support the goal of high school graduation, mentees also benefit from guidance as they transition from Trails participants to Trails alumni and move beyond “Four Seasons, Four Years” and into “For Life.” Click here to learn more.
